yeh i'd imagine they would have given you some had it required stitches, it will probably be sore for the most part. I'm surprized they didn't give you a tetanus (sp?) shot.

i got a tetnus shot as well.

moral of the story...when you're installing snap rings, do not assume any tool named "snap on" will help you install it easier. get a set of snap ring PLIERS!

psh, that ain't nothing. Would have stung a minute then I would have pulled it out, washed out with iodine, put a bandage on and went about my day.

I actually fell on a roofing/shingle nail and it went in my hand and made a clean puncture all the way through which is nothing compared to that. I do not envy you...

Yeah there's a right tool for the job always! I used needle nose pliers to do a rear drum brake job one day. Needless to say my eyes are thankful but the scar on my nose (in between my eyes) will remind me just how lucky I am.

Perhaps you should consider a new line of work?

or at least a new box of tools.

seriously, my brother stabbed my hand onto a block of foam with a knife, and i didnt get pain meds for it. i got a few stitches on the back of the hand, and was told that my palm would heal ok if i kept it slightly balled up. which i ended up being forced to do, since my hand was really weak and i couldnt open it fully. stabs burn, and then they itch. real bad.

Glad it was nothing serious and u are allright, but since you are Irish I would of thought that you would have hit a shot of wiskey and pulled the damn tool off yourself...ALA Braveheart
