Anyone got a spare 10" Sub or enclosure?

Anyone got one laying around? Trying to rule out of a problem to see if anything is wrong with either the sub or the enclosure.

...describe problem?

also do you have an ohm meter? check the resistance between the postive and negative terminal.

I've tried a multimeter but for some reason it never gives me an ohm reading and yes it was set to read the resistance levels.

Basically the output of the sub is pretty low. Josh (orfus5) heard it Saturday was like wtf? I doubt its the enclosure because I can't imagine it have THAT much of effect on output. Bass isn't sloppy, just doesn't get loud... Its only a little louder than my Bose sub.

I've wired each coil to a AA battery to make sure the VC terminals were labeled correctly and thats fine. I've tried three different amps.

Is your enclosure sealed or ported?

If the ohm meter is set correctly and you have a 4 ohm sub then you should read 4 ohms. If not then you got a problem there.

Its a sealed enclosure.

Its odd but it wouldn't give me a reading at all. I should get a 2 ohm load because its two VC @ 4 ohms each wired in parallel.

It did have a small leak that I sealed up shortly after. Made no difference in output that I could notice.

Wish I had another box to test though.

I've got a 10" single sub box, if you still need it. PM me.

I'm almost positive its wired correctly. I'm taken the sub out about 4 times and always sounded the same. I suppose I could wire it up in series just to try something different

Screw you Josh lol. If I have some time next week, I'll holla at you about the Bazooka tube to see how it sounds compared to what I have.

If all it sounds like is midrange bass then it sounds like you have a leak in the enclosure. A 10" sub in a sealed box should sound very clean and have tight punchy bass.

I'm bringing everything to my parents house and I'll work on it there. I think I have a sub box there that may work.
